There are several types of residence permit available, depending on the amount of investment required.
If your franchise and the cost of your investment in France is less than 30,000 euros, you can apply for a "liberal profession entrepreneur" visa. To qualify, you must :
- Prove that your project is genuine and serious;
- Request a certificate of economic viability from the French authorities;
- Build a solid file for a residence permit;
- Submit your visa application to the French consulate or embassy in your country of origin.
The "talent" residence permit for business start-ups
For this, you need to justify an investment of at least 30,000euros
If your franchise has cost at least 30,000 euros, you can apply for this fairly advantageous permit, which is valid for a maximum of 4 years.
To qualify, you must demonstrate :
- An investment of at least 30,000euros
- A project to set up a business, proving that it is real and serious details of your project
- its economic viability
- You must also hold a Master's degree in France or equivalent.
If you meet all these conditions, you can apply for a "talent" residence permit for business creation.
If your investment exceeds 300,000 euros, you can apply for the talent investor visa. To qualify, you must commit to creating or safeguarding jobs in France, and justify an investment of 300,000 euros.
For all "talent" visas, your family can easily join you on the family talent visa, which is automatically granted to the spouse or minor children of the "talent" visa holder.
For the professional entrepreneur visa, your spouse or minor children will have to wait 18 months before they can join you for family reunification.
